IMCD UK colleagues conquer 1000km challenge and raise over £4,000 for True Honour

Last week, 49 staff members from IMCD UK embarked on an unforgettable journey through the picturesque countryside of the Surrey Hills for this year's annual charity walk. A further 11 team members scattered throughout the UK also took part in the challenge in their respective locations.

In 2022, the team took to the streets of London in a bid to walk 20km each in aid of Bowel Cancer UK. This year, the challenge was to walk a collective 1000km in support of True Honour, our chosen charity for 2023. We’re thrilled that the challenge distance and goal of raising £2000 were both exceeded, with the team collectively walking well over 1200km, raising a staggering £4,383 in the process!

Showcasing the natural beauty and serenity of the rural landscape, one of the defining moments was reaching the summit of Leith Hill, the second highest point in South East England, towering 300 metres above sea level, offering views all the way to the coast.

True Honour is dedicated to combating honour-based violence and supporting victims. Their tireless work empowers individuals and communities to challenge harmful practices, providing vital resources and assistance to those affected. By participating in this year's charity walk, the IMCD UK team has made a significant contribution towards this noble cause.
