As we reach the midpoint of 2024, we are excited to share the progress of IMCD UK’s support of Wallington Animal Rescue.
Over the past six months, our combined efforts have not only raised significant funds but also strengthened the collective spirit here at IMCD UK.
Here is a look at our key activities and achievements so far:
Charity Walk through London
In May, over 50 IMCD UK employees embarked on a 20km walk through London to raise awareness and funds for Wallington Animal Rescue.
This year’s walk saw our teams divide and conquer across the UK. Our team based in the south of the country took part in an urban trek through London, while our northern teams’ efforts took place in the West Midlands. Collectively, the walks raised £2,500 for Wallington Animal Rescue.
Our annual walk, now in its fourth year, was especially meaningful as it coincided with Mental Health Week, which this year emphasised the importance of physical activity and community support for mental well-being.

Themed Socials at the Sutton Office
Throughout the year, our team has participated in themed socials to raise additional funds for Wallington Animal Rescue.
Our Easter-themed event was hosted by our Coatings and Construction team and included a raffle and a “Guess the number of Mini-Eggs” competition.
Thanks to the generous contributions of our colleagues, we made a significant donation of £314 to Wallington Animal Rescue.
Euro 2024 Sweepstakes and Score Prediction Competition
The Euro 2024 sweepstake and score predictor challenge brought understandable excitement to colleagues across IMCD UK. Our Euros-themed initiatives fostered a fun and competitive atmosphere and supported our ongoing commitment to aiding our chosen charity of the year. We successfully raised £180 in the Euro’s predictor competition alongside the £96 raised from the Euro sweepstake.
We will continue to host further themed fundraising socials throughout the remainder of the year.
Looking Ahead
Reflecting on the first half of 2024, we are proud of the dedication and generosity shown by our IMCD UK colleagues. Our support for Wallington Animal Rescue continues to grow, and we remain committed to contributing to their vital work.
The funds raised will directly support Wallington Animal Rescue’s mission of rescuing, fostering, and caring for neglected and abandoned animals.
