BELSIL P 1101

BELSIL P 1101 is a silicone-organic hybrid material provided as a 50% solution in denatured ethanol. It combines strong hold properties of a hair styling resin with typical silicone properties like softness and silkiness. BELSIL P 1101 can be used in aerosols, pump sprays and balm/gel-type formulations. It shows good compatibility with common solvents used in the industry. BELSIL P 1101 helps prevent heat damage to materials by reducing water loss during high temperature treatments. It can also act as a film former in products. BELSIL P 1101 allows formulating medium to strong hold products with high water content without compromising on hold, feel or drying time. The hybrid polymer contains groups which can be neutralized to ensure stability of solutions. BELSIL P 1101 is suitable for applications requiring a balance of properties like adhesion, flexibility and durability.
