MICA G

MICA G is a muscovite-type mica from our own Austrian deposit. MICA G has a high specific gravity of 2.85 and Moh's hardness of 2.5 making it an ideal filler for applications requiring durability and strength. Its low oil absorption of 22 g/100g and high whiteness of 79% FMY allows MICA G to provide opacity and hiding power for coatings. MICA G has a neutral pH of 9.5 and low moisture content <1% at 100°C ensuring it is stable for various industrial processes. Its narrow particle size distribution with d98 of 20.0 μm, d90 of 12.0 μm and d50 of 5.4 μm allows MICA G to provide smoothness and consistency in coatings and construction materials.
