UNDECYLENIC ACID

Oleris® Undecylenic acid is a 100% linear bifunctional fatty acid with a terminal double bond. It is processed from castor oil and and has 100% vegetable origin. It has a negative carbon footprint and is readily biodegradable (94% in 28 days OECD 301F). Used as an intermediate for natural cosmetic ingredients with cleansing, emulsifying or surfactant properties and advanced functionalities (multi-functional ingredients in preservative-free formulations, salts against fungal infections and as mild surfactants with anti-dandruff properties). Also used as an essential intermediate for aromatic ingredients like C11 aldehyde, macrocyclic musks, etc.
