MFP

MFP is a multifunctional pigment that is used in coatings as corrosion inhibitor, ultraviolet light stabilizer, tannin stain blocking agent, flame retardant, and white rust inhibitor (zinc rich paints).MFP is the commercial form of modified barium metaboratemonohydrate.MFP may be used in both water- and solvent-based coatings. Because it is multifunctional it can replace five or six products commonly warehoused by paint companies.
