BORCHI COLL 20

BORCHI COLL 20 is an anti-blocking additive formulated for use in all water-based paints and coatings. It is presented in an opalescent turbid liquid form with a density of 1.202 – 1.210 g/cm3 (20 °C), a viscosity of max. 5.00 mPa.s (20 °C), and a solids content of 30.00 – 31.00 %. The pH value is within the range of 8.7 – 9.7 (20°C), Titrated BET Surface Area is 140 – 180 m2/g, and Na2O content is 0.12 – 0.18 %. This additive is designed to enhance various aspects of coating performance, including adhesion to surfaces like wood, plastic, and metal. It contributes to improved film quality, uniform distribution of barrier properties on the substrate, better thermal endurance, corrosion resistance, avoidance of "blooming" effects in wood coatings, increased hiding power, and improved resistance to blocking, water, and alcohol. BORCHI COLL 10 is suitable for use in coatings with silk-finish and gloss emulsion applications.
