REOTAN L

REOTAN L is a non-foaming dispersing agent for waterborne paints. It is a polycarboxylic acid sodium salt that provides stability against heat and alkalinity. REOTAN L has a viscosity of 35000 cPs at 20°C and dosage of 0.1-0.3% referred to the total composition. It is effective over a pH range of 5.5-14.0 and hardness up to 36°F. REOTAN L can be used to prepare aqueous dispersion of pigments and extenders such as china clay, titanium dioxide, whiting, blanc fixe, precipitated calcium carbonate, talc, ferrous oxide etc., widely used in waterborne paints. With respect to conventional phosphate based dispersant, REOTAN L gives the dispersion higher stability.
